I. Let Me Explain…
Okay so….the last blog I posted was back in May of this year… I’ll be honest, the goal for all summer events this year was to simply be out of spotlight and to peacefully enjoy servicing the community. The events for the summer this year were extremely rewarding because each one reminded me of the simple pleasures of life, while even still embracing & living within my own reality. The amazing community of the greater Charlotte, NC continuously came together for all of the offered Farmer’s Market & Juicing classes & also demonstrated much interest in the health education & cooking classes. Little do they know, each time I facilitate in the Wellness Center at AmeriHealth Caritas, it puts me in my happy place & reminds me of my purpose here on this earth… which is to serve as an “educator”, “mentor”, or “coach”.
To make matters even better, it was overly amazing to see families come together for the Community Field Day & Back To School Bash to kick off the 2026-2027 school year!! I do thank AmeriHealth Cartias NC as always for allowing me to host the event & believing in my vision enough for the community. I also do thank Wider Circle, INC. for supporting the vision and helping to provide extra school supplies. It was definitely a summer that provided more genuine connections with community members and community health partners. Overall, I am definitely excited to see the direction in which the rest of this year is headed.
As the summer is coming to a bittersweet end, I am using my time wisely to self-reflect. In doing so, the memories collected from the summer will always be a reminder that in doing good, good will always find you. May love continue to always be kind & win.
